Churails director, Asim Abbasi talks about the challenges he faced while making Churails.
After a successful directorial journey with films like Cake, Whore and Little Red Roses, Asim Abbasi is all set to go global with his first web-series Churails, the first Zindagi original streaming on ZEE5. The extraordinarily talented Asim known for his method filmmaking skills, with his latest brainchild- Churails, checks off another milestone for quality content in the OTT space.
Asim has an exceptionally unique directorial vision that is reflected in all his projects. In an interview, Asim gets candid about his experience in working on a project like Churails and says “Film-making is a near-death experience and the demanding shoot for Churails was like knocking on the doors of death and coming back.
The project was a huge undertaking in itself. Every day, there was a new challenge that awaited us. Surviving the making of Churails has made me more resilient and understanding. I have gained a better hold on how much effort goes behind delivering quality content for audiences..” He further adds to the conversation, “The entire experience changed me as a filmmaker. Churails has made me more empathetic, bold and unfiltered..”
